What happens after you hit send
Your request lands with our office coordinator and reaches our estimating team the same business day. An estimator replies within one business day — usually with a couple of questions and two or three walk-through times. Smaller interior jobs can often be quoted from photos. Exteriors, plaster houses and cabinets get a walk-through, about 30–45 minutes, where we measure, check the siding or walls, and talk colors. Your written quote follows within two business days of the visit and lists every surface, the prep steps, the product and sheen, and the start window. No quote is a “ballpark” that changes on day one.
What to have ready
You don’t need all of this, but each item makes the quote faster and tighter:
- Photos — each side of the house for exterior work, or each room from the doorway for interior. Close-ups of any peeling, rot or cracks.
- Rough square footage and the year the house was built. Anything before 1978 means we plan lead-safe work.
- Your timing window — a move-out date, a party, or “before the October cold.”
- HOA rules if you’re in a Lansing or Basehor subdivision; color approvals can take a few weeks.
- Color ideas — a fan-deck chip, a Pinterest photo, or “the gray the neighbors have.”
